They’re going to need Carlsson to step up into a full time role this season.
Saw a couple of tweets about Kierstad looking good during drills yesterday. There isn’t a better chance than right now for these guys to grab a spot in the lineup.
I think he had Tkachuk with Bennett and White(?) yesterday |

Who is hurt and gonna start the season on LTIR?????
Do the Cats need to make a trade to be Cap-compliant? And who goes?
Horny is the obvious choice, but what goes with him as a sweetener and they are seriously depleted of draft picks the next 3 years. |

Zito won’t trade Hornqvist. Duclair will start the season on LTIR, I think they may still be a little over the cap afterwards. I’m not sure what move will be made to get under, but I don’t think he’ll trade Horny. He had to convince Hornqvist to waive his no trade to come to FL, he highly values the leadership which he brings... not to mention that the add ons to move his 5million contract would probably just be too much. It would’ve already happened if it was going to (imo).
We’ll see what happens when Duclair is ready to return sometime in the second half of the season. |

Unless FLA wishes to sign a guy on a PTO....... |

I’m sure Zito will make the needed moves to get cap compliant with help of the wiggle room Duclair’s injury opens up and someone becoming a cap causality in order to keep Hornqvist around (which I think they should do).
#70 provides a game/skill that no one else plays on this squad and I think that will be important for this transitional year. |

Interesting that Serron Noel didn’t report to camp, haven’t heard a reason yet.
No one has mentioned a word about it. |
